The third Policy Brief is now online. The policy brief provides you with information about biodiversity on floating wetlands. Floating wetlands can enhance biodiversity for plants, animals (both terrestrial and aquatic) and microorganisms. Additionally, it also includes valuable recommendations what to consider when using floating wetlands as an additional habitat.
The main aim of the policy briefs is to reach interested coastal municipalities around the Baltic Sea which would like to improve their local water quality using macrophytes. Policy Brief #1 gave general information about floating wetlands und remediation of eutrophication. Policy Brief #2 dealed with nutrient removal by floating wetlands.
